Nundah Film Festival
Brisbane residents are encouraged to get creative and submit their entry into the second annual Nundah Film Festival (previously North Brisbane Film Festival).
Crystal Hager, organiser of the event, said a lack of film festivals in Brisbane led her to start her own local festival.
“The main reason behind starting the Nundah Film Festival was to help support young, emerging filmmakers from Brisbane and across Australia to promote their short films.”
Entries are accepted for short documentary and short narrative (both 15 minutes maximum length) and music clips (4 minutes maximum length). A small entry fee (between $2.50 – $10) is required for submission, with all proceeds going to the Rotary Club of Nundah.
A number of entries have already been received, with mystery dramas proving to be a popular focus for young filmmakers.
The final deadline for entries is the 25 December, 2017 and the screening of the finalists will take place at BCC Cinemas Toombul on February 6, 2018.
“We are thrilled to be holding the Nundah Film Festival at BCC Cinemas Toombul and look forward to watching some amazing local talent,” says Crystal.
