The Nundah Village Street Festival 2017
The Nundah Village Street Festival is back – and this year it will be bigger than ever!
After taking out the award for Community Event of the Year at the 2017 Lord Mayor’s Australia Day Awards, the Nundah Village Street Festival promises more fun, activities and entertainment for Brisbane residents.
The annual celebration will start with a free movie and fireworks at Boyd Park, Nundah on Friday, September 8. The community is invited to bring their picnic blanket and enjoy ‘Sing’ on the big screen.
The family fun kicks off at 4.30pm with a jumping castle (sponsored by Tim Nicholls MP, Member for Clayfield), a sausage sizzle at 5.30pm (provided by the Rotary Club of Nundah) and fireworks starting at 6.00pm. ‘Sing’ will start shortly after at 6.15pm (hosted by Councillor Adam Allan).
The Festival Art Show will open on Saturday, September 9 at the Northside Honda Workshop, on the corner of Sandgate Road and Wood Street. Locals can view the entries on Saturday and Sunday from 10am – 3pm, with the Festival Art Show Soiree being held on Saturday, September 9 at 6.30pm.
The Nundah Village Street Festival will be held on Sunday, September 10 from 9am – 3pm. Visitors can enjoy live music, entertainment, stallholders, jumping castle, kids rides, street entertainers and performances from local schools and groups. Dine in at one of the local cafes and restaurants, or enjoy a bite from the many stallholders on the day.
The Nundah Farmers Markets will be open from 6am – 12noon on Sunday as always, with a variety of fresh produce, flowers, crafts, food trucks and more.
