Grand Ideas in Northgate is celebrating ten years in business.

Owners Paul and Christine, who have a long history of transforming discarded items into treasures, are celebrating their remarkable journey, which started many years before Grand Ideas opened.

Paul and Christine started their salvaging career in the 1970s in Brisbane, visiting construction sites that were knocking down historical buildings.

With a desire to keep the history alive, Paul and Christine have spent decades restoring and repurposing items that can be turned into unique and sought-after items.

Ten years ago, Paul decided to open Grand Ideas in Northgate as a way to keep himself entertained as he planned his retirement. Now, Paul is as busy as ever, with no sign of slowing down.

Grand Ideas is a place where one can uncover a hidden gem, such as a vintage typewriter, a French-style clock, old post office boxes, or even a Telecom Payphone.
