Eco Kids at TradeCoast Central is a family-owned and operated early learning and kindergarten service located in Eagle Farm.

Tucked away off Schneider Road, Eco Kids is the hidden gem for the Ascot, Hendra, Hamilton and Eagle Farm precincts.

The long-standing team (many of whom have been part of the service since it opened), have created a dynamic, play-based learning environment for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years.

Jessica McDermott, Director of Eco Kids, has been part of the service for 4 years and has worked with the close-knit team of carers and educators to create a space that parents and children feel welcome.

“We understand that parents have to feel 100% comfortable with the decision on who cares for their children,” said Jessica.

“We are proud of our long-standing team who have given consistent care to many children, sibling after sibling, over the years.”

With 7 rooms and separate yards for junior and senior children, the centre is spacious, with a backyard and a water park feature that delights the children.

The centre also offers services that provide families with something vital – more time with their children when at home.

“We have an on-site cook who prepares morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea, with special attention to dietary requirements,” says Jessica.

“This gives parents peace of mind that their children are enjoying nutritious, well-balanced meals and trying new foods. It also means parents don’t have to worry about packing lunch-boxes and gives them that time to enjoy at home.”

The centre also provides nappies, wipes, sunscreen, sunhat and a tote bag, with incursions and excursions throughout the community, held regularly during the year to complement learning experiences.

Eco Kids ensures that children are provided a full day of developmentally appropriate activities, designed to suit each child’s own pace development.

The Government Approved Kindergarten program, especially for children aged 4 – 5 years, supports children and families on their journey to ‘big school’ and prepares them for the Prep year ahead.

Children will have opportunities to learn to communicate ideas, feelings and needs, become more independent, develop reading, writing and numeracy skills, and ignite imagination and foster curiosity in both indoor and outdoor spaces.
