The Joint Physiotherapy has announced its sponsorship of talented local squash player Jess Turnbull.

Jess, who currently has a world ranking of 64 and came first in the 2023 Australian National Championships, is Australia’s top female squash player. The partnership aims to provide support to Jess as she pursues her aspirations in the world of professional squash.

Jess has been working with Steve Collins, The Joint’s Physiotherapist and Strength & Conditioning Coach, since 2016.

‘For Jess, we do a lot of work on injury prevention, strength and conditioning,’ says Steve.

‘Our knowledge in sports-related injuries and rehabilitation ensures that Jess maintains her physical wellbeing, and performs at her best on the court.’

Jess has shown tremendous dedication to her sport, and in recent years has won her first professional tournament, attended the Commonwealth Games, World Games and World Teams, and is currently ranked as the number 1 Women’s Squash Player in Australia.

Jess is focused on a number of tournaments in the next two years, with the 2024 World Squash Federation Women’s World Team Championship and the 2026 Commonwealth Games her two main priorities.

‘My ultimate goal at the 2026 Commonwealth Games is to bring home a medal,’ says Jess. ‘In singles or doubles – I don’t mind!’
