Compassion 4 Community is a local not-for-profit that currently provides more than 400 healthy meals and social connection weekly to those doing it extremely tough in Nundah and surrounding areas.
With the increase in the cost of living, the financial pressure continues to climb for many. People are literally having to make decisions whether to pay rent, put fuel in the car to go to work, or buy groceries, many actually go hungry.
That’s where C4C makes a difference, helping save people hundreds of dollars each week on groceries and providing them with a consistent place they can trust, alleviating a lot of stress for many.
Compassion 4 Community provide a safe place for everyone to come as they are to have a healthy meal, a good chat and a whole lot of love and hope to get through another day.
C4C rely mostly on the generous donations of our community and have been blown away by the local support.
There have been a lot of great things happening for C4C lately. They won last year’s Leanne Linard community award, and Nundah Village Share the love campaign and this year they were one of the top three candidates for Westfield Chermside’s Local Heroes Award and received a $5,000 grant in much-needed funds.
“Our Nundah community keeps us going. We are in this together and this is what makes our community so special.”
