Local boxer, Kieran Cronin ‘The Barbarian’ is getting set to fight for the 2018 Queensland State Title in August.
Kieran, who is the current Australian Boxing Corporate Welterweight title holder, XFC am Flyweight title holder MMA, and XFC am Bantamweight title holder MMA, has been training with local Nundah coach, Todd Commons.
Todd, who has been a trainer at Nundah’s Northside Boxing for several years, has been working with Kieran on preparing for his upcoming fights.
‘Kieran is a Brazillian Ju-Jitsu expert, which focuses more on grappling, so I have been working with him on his striking to complement his existing knowledge,’ says Todd.
Kieran, who has a background in Ju-Jitsu, boxing and mixed martial arts, had his pro boxing debut in December 2017 and was victorious.
‘I love so many aspects of boxing’, says Kieran. ‘I love pushing my physical and mental capabilities – movement in boxing gives me a sense of freedom and self-expression. Ultimately, I want to promote being a champion for a fearless life. Whether it is for a personal achievement or making a difference to the people you love – all you need to do is take action.’
