This is. Leanne.
Leanne Linard MP is our state member for Nudgee and Minister for Children and Youth Justice and Minister for Multicultural Affairs. She is a third generation Nudgee resident, who went to school in Banyo, and worked part-time at the Toombul McDonalds.
Growing up in a family that loved to serve the community, she too started her public life volunteering and was the school captain in high school. Leanne sees her role in public service as honourable service and she has her sleeves rolled up seven days a week, with the support of her family.
When not at work, Leanne is a regular mother of two boys who, like many of us, has to think about what is in the fridge to make dinner at the end of each day. The family spend their precious down time walking their dog, and keeping active.
With a genuine love for people and helping them to make their lives better, Leanne has great advice for those seeking to enter public life, “Volunteer and get involved with the community.” We can all make an important contribution, and each have something unique to offer.
